Making a Strong First Impression

Introduction

We spoke with Ishita Goel, Assistant Brand Manager at VAHDAM® India, who shared how a well-executed Dual Demo helped the brand make a powerful first impression with Costco UK members.

The Challenge

Already a favourite at Costco Canada, VAHDAM India set out to replicate that success with its 2025 UK launch. As a rotation item, achieving strong initial sales was crucial to secure future listings. To drive trial and sell-through, the brand saw dual demos as the ideal way to let members taste, learn, and connect – sampling all five turmeric-based blends, discovering their health benefits, and experiencing the brand in an engaging, memorable way.

The Solution

Recognizing that tea is best enjoyed as part of a shared snacking moment, VAHDAM® and WDS recreated that familiar experience through thoughtful product pairings.

• Turmeric teas + cookies positioned the range as a comforting, “feel-good” treat.

• Turmeric teas + macadamia nuts reinforced the product’s wholesome, healthy appeal.

This sensory-led demo introduced a new flavour profile in a natural, relatable way – creating a warm, approachable moment of discovery for members. The result: higher engagement, stronger trials, and instant understanding of what made VAHDAM® unique.

Results

The campaign delivered strong sales and overwhelmingly positive feedback. “Members loved both the flavour and the price point” shared Ishita. Once sold through, shoppers even took to Instagram asking when the product would return.

Ishita also praised the WDS Account Management team for being “incredibly helpful and supportive,” adding that “the way some of the brand ambassadors presented VAHDAM® was beyond expectations.”

Those demo techniques have since become the benchmark for all future VAHDAM® demos in Costco.
