Triple win at industry awards for Fizz & WDS!
2022 has started well! Following a very difficult 18 months due to the challenges of the pandemic, we have launched into 2022 by celebrating a hat-trick of gongs by winning Gold, Silver and Bronze at the annual Field Marketing and Brand Experience Awards! The awards are the biggest in Europe and are the highest recognition for agencies operating at the pinnacle of the field and live brand experience marketing industry. Judged by a carefully selected panel of experts, winning brings confirmation that our operations are the best in the business.
A full podium of prizes
Fizz took the top spot and Gold in the hotly contested Operational Success of the Year category for our work through WDS in safely and successfully returning Costco Wholesale’s large scale demo programme across the UK and Iceland during the global pandemic. No easy task, the award recognises the outstanding work of everyone across the business in “making it happen” when faced with delivery, store and event challenges by providing expertise to meet an exacting challenge. Next came a silver award in the Most Effective Retail Sales Experience category for our work with Hotel Chocolat and its entry into the Beers, Wines and Spirits segment with its range of cream liqueurs. Tracking performance across almost 250 demo days, the judges we impressed with the campaign’s success at driving sales and contributing to the brand securing a permanent retailer listing.
Finally, bronze was awarded in the Most Effective Tactical Campaign category for the one-off activity for South African inspired sausage brand K’s Wors. Again, the judges were impressed with our 4-day campaign in Manchester that helped drive quick success for the brand at a crucial time; in this case, a 4.7x sales return during the peak August barbecue period!
A real team effort
Needless to say, we’re all delighted to be starting the year with such great news, especially as it represents the work of colleagues right across the business. Speaking after the event, CEO Dave Curtis said: “We are delighted to emerge from a tough 18 months with a hat trick of industry recognition for our work. Especially pleasing is the fact that the awards recognise our breadth of skills in delivering everything from small-scale tactical activity through to high-volume, ongoing, nationwide demo programmes for global retailers.” Finally, Dave summed it up perfectly by saying: “there’s a team of 900 people, each with a stake in these awards.”
