Costco Wholesale UK
Costco members love to try before they buy and delivering a unique experience has always been a key objective for the U.S. retailer. Working in partnership for over 20 years, Fizz Experience (through its WDS sister brand) is responsible for the planning, management and implementation of an ongoing, successful programme of product sampling and demonstrations across all 28 of its UK warehouses, 7 days a week.
Every year, Fizz delivers:
- Over 75,000 product samplings and demonstrations to Costco members.
- Resulting in an average conversion of 1 in 7 from sampling to sales.
- Providing an average sales uplift of over 335% to Costco’s vendors.
The Food Warehouse by Iceland
In March 2015, Fizz was invited to establish a model to deliver a fully managed in-store sampling service to support a new retail format, The Food Warehouse by Iceland. Following an successful trial period across 6 store locations over 12 weeks, the model has continued to be rolled out to further stores since.

German household brand, Leifheit is a leading supplier of household goods in mainland Europe. Its innovative products focus on cleaning, laundry care and kitchen help. However, the brand has always been less well-established in the UK. Fizz Experience was briefed to help change this with a programme of in-store product demonstrations, sales and merchandising activity across key retailers from Spring 2015 to Winter 2017. Working closely with the UK team at Leifheit, a crack-squad of brand ambassadors visited John Lewis, Peter Jones and Dunelm Mill stores to educate consumers on the brand, explain product features and recommend the best tools for the customers’ needs. At the same time, Fizz also delivered merchandising and store staff training to ensure in-store visibility was maximised even when the team wasn’t present.

As a young brand, Vitabiotics approached us to help raise awareness and drive sales for one of its key retailers and two key SKUs; Wellman and Wellwoman vitamin drinks. Working to short lead times, we identified suitable locations and quickly obtained the necessary permits to conduct on-street sampling. We took care of all the logistical requirements to distribute the necessary stocks to our brand ambassadors out in the field who then executed the campaign as planned to introduce Vitabiotics’ target markets to the brand.

Ferrero “Making Christmas better with Ferrero”
In the run-up to Christmas 2016, Ferrero was keen to maximise sales during this important festive period. Working with Fizz, the solution was to focus on delivering an in-store sampling campaign across the UK over a two week period in December. The high-profile, visually striking in-store presentation was combined with a limited period special offer to drive excitement and sales for the brand.
