Head of Talent

Our newest recruit, Louise joins the Fizz ranks with a wealth of experience centred on one thing; getting the best out of people. Fortunately for us and our clients, those people are now our people - hurrah!

To date, Louise’s career has combined learning and development roles (both people and product) across the retail and hospitality industries. When it comes to nurturing our national network of talented Fizz presenters, Louise’s mission is to ensure we continue to provide our clients with people who are the best in the business. And it’s all carried out with an infectious mix of fun and professionalism.

When she’s not at work, Louise loves to indulge her passion for music and sport - especially Football and F1! Louise sees life as an adventure and whether it’s festivals, holidays or random road trips, Louise loves nothing more than seeing different places and meeting new people.

Ali
Business/HR Development Manager

Ali is the level headed and sensible one. She grounds the flights of fancy and asks the relevant and practical questions. Her commonsense approach ensure clients benefit from creative campaigns that work in the real world.

Logical, logistical and logarithmical, Ali can see the destination, plan the route and reminds the rest of us to pack spare socks!

Blessed with a huge amount of knowledge gained from two decades in the industry, Ali has hands-on experience in just about every aspect of our business. She understands precisely what can and should be done to help our clients showcase their products.

When not at work, Ali does what Ali does - it’s all a bit of a mystery to us!!!! She admits to being a Chelsea FC supporter and we know she has a dog and hates having her photo taken. But as to the rest.... if you find out let us know!!

Arlene
Account Manager

Arlene thrives on pressure and so looks after one of our biggest clients, ensuring that every aspect of this large and complex account is handled with professionalism and humour.

Arlene’s strengths are her management skills and a wealth of experience. She somehow manages to motivate and guide her team according to the needs of the business whilst simultaneously meeting the needs of our clients. If the term multi-tasking was ever coined to describe someone - Arlene is that someone!

Even when she’s not at work, Arlene still brings her managerial skills to bear by looking after the needs of her husband, young son and dog Pongo.

Arlene likes a laugh - why else would you call a Dalmation ‘Pongo’?

Dave
Senior Business Development Manager

A freak of nature, Dave is a rare combination of business analyst, IT guru and creative!? If you need the numbers crunched, a bespoke web portal building or an original rockin’ soundtrack recording - Dave’s your man. He’s a ‘logical creative’ - or freak!

Don’t be fooled, Dave may be an IT guru but he’s far from a geek. There isn’t a roll neck sweater in sight and he moved out of his parents’ home almost 2 weeks ago. Impossible to pigeonhole, creative and innovative and lots more besides - we don’t know how he does it and we’re not sure he does either!

When’s he not in his secret lair doing “stuff”, Dave loves snowboarding and surfing and is passionate about writing and recording music. He’s secretly converting his spare room into a studio - just don’t tell his wife!

Jill
Chairman

A people person through and through. Jill is happiest when those around her are motivated, confident and achieving their goals.

So, no surprise that Jill finds herself the Chairman and owner of a business that knows and understands the importance of first-hand experience. She’s a people person who loves people - pure and simple!

Jill also knows a thing or two about the senses. Not only is she a qualified chef and aesthetician (we had to look it up too), she’s also worked within the catering, drinks and beauty industries - and she’s got a management qualification in the wine trade too - cheers!

Jill loves her family, good food, fine wine and is passionate about customer service. Personable and inspirational - the team thinks she’s the perfect chairman.

Andy
Marketing and PR Manager

Always smiling and keen to talk, Andy spent the last 15 years ‘doing his thing’ in marketing roles across consumer and B2B sectors and even ran his own management consultancy for a while. Naturally creative and with a critical eye for detail, Andy’s mum is sure he’ll go far!

Combining a degree in business studies and a real world hands-on approach, Andy’s skills ensure we never lose sight of why we exist - to help clients achieve their objectives through well planned, carefully managed and beautifully executed campaigns.  

Sensing a looming mid-life crisis, Andy acts as though he’s still 18 and takes part in events that combine his love of cycling and endurance running. Come the weekend, you’ll usually find him swathed in Lycra wearing a rucksack and heading for the horizon!

Sherril
Campaign Manager

Sherril loves working with figures - from relatively simple number crunching in her previous employment, she now tackles the complexities of logistics for Fizz. Her undoubted skill with figures (and particularly figuring things out) has really come to the fore throughout her 8 years as a Campaign Manager.

Sherril has a straightforward approach to every campaign, ‘can do, will do’ and always delivers with a smile and a cheeky comment. Luckily for us, she thrives on a challenge and loves to see every project through to a successful completion to ensure a painless and hassle free experience for all our clients… no wonder all our clients think she’s ‘fab!’

In her spare time, Sherril likes to relax and unwind in the online video gaming world. For such an easy going and mild mannered type, what she can do with a laser blaster to creatures from another world is really quite alarming!

Karen
Finance Assistant

From an early age it seems Karen’s future was destined for Fizz. Her favourite lessons at school were maths and art - so we reckon she’s got the perfect mix for her role here! Of course, there were previous jobs but Her Majesty’s Government won’t let her talk about her covert search and destroy operations within the iron curtain.

As Finance Assistant, Karen loves working with numbers and keeping a sisterly eye on us all. So while the rest of us are busy creating great experiential campaigns for our clients, Karen waves around the biggest calculator you’ve ever seen and ensures all the numbers stack up. She’s also the third member of Team Awesome and studying for her AAT Accounting qualification in her own time.

Outside the office she likes reading and arts & crafts - her favourite shop is Hobbycraft! She’s also an amazing cook and keeps everyone in the office going with a regular supply of homemade cakes - Huzzah!!!

Mark
Demonstration Manager

Educated locally and currently studying towards a Business Studies qualification, Mark has worked for Fizz since 2005. With his in-depth knowledge he plays a key role in looking after our biggest client as Senior Demonstration Coordinator.

Mark’s role involves meeting with our clients to discuss requirements and better understand how to move forward with our in-store demonstration programme, balancing the needs of everyone involved to deliver a fantastic result every time!

A loyal, lifelong Arsenal fan, Mark has recently become a regular gym go-er to work on his “guns”. Mark loves telling jokes and the rest of the Fizz team enjoy/endure (delete as necessary) his constant quotes from Family Guy. He hates the word “guesstimate” and drivers who don’t indicate at roundabouts…!!?!?*!? (You’ve been warned!)

Hannah
Accounts Supervisor

After gaining her qualifications, Hannah studied Film Production at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design (how cool is that?) whilst working in a number of part-time jobs, including Floristry and Hairdressing, to finance her studies. One thing’s for sure - Hannah certainly knows a thing or two about the senses!

Hannah joined the team in 2007 and continues to show why she’s such a great asset to Fizz and our clients with her encyclopedic knowledge, organisational skills and general good-egged-ness. Working with Sarah and Karen, she is 33.33333% of “Team Awesome”. Hannah is currently in her third year of studying AAT Accounting at evening class. Where does she find the energy?

Outside the Fizz walls, Hannah loves going out with friends, enjoying an eclectic taste in music, eating out (as long as it’s not ‘slimy’), watching horror films and having cool adventures!

Sarah
Accounts Assistant

After leaving full time education with a veritable Smorgasbord of GCSEs and A-Levels, Sarah joined Fizz and is officially part of the, now legendary, “Team Awesome”. Sarah has also worked as a florist and in a café in her time so has a rather good nose - and the rest of her ain’t half bad either!’

Sarah’s role largely involves looking after the invoicing and pay - so she’s very well liked and very, very well respected by both our clients and the field team alike! When asked why she’s so good at her job, she simply replies, “Because I’m awesome!”

When she isn’t Fizzing, Sarah enjoys going to the gym, trips to the cinema and nights out with friends. She has a curry night every other week… her favourite items from the menu are a number 14, 27, 33 and a 42 - delicious!!

Lorna
Campaign Manager

Well, what hasn’t Lorna done? Since leaving school Lorna's worked in a wide range of jobs and even went into business where she owned and ran a gift/card/toy shop for 5 years. When it comes to understanding the retail environment and the expectations of customers, Lorna’s certainly been there and done that!

Since joining Fizz 6 years ago, Lorna has managed and successfully executed virtually every type of field marketing activity you can imagine on behalf of our clients - merchandising, promotional drives, product launches and mystery shopping - she’s done it all. Our clients love her and so do our field teams!

When she’s not in the office there’s nothing she likes more than spending time with family and friends. She’s also starting getting Fizzical (see what we did there?) with her new passion... running! To paraphrase Forrest Gump, ‘Run Lorna, Run!’

Craig
Area Manager (North)

Craig brings a huge amount of retail and field management expertise to Fizz, having worked in most of the major supermarket retailers over the years. Craig’s key strengths are coaching and training, which he puts to good use in maximising the return from in-store demonstrations for one of our biggest UK clients.

Craig excels in his people management skills and is currently developing an initiative to improve and maintain the performance of all Fizz field marketing teams. Believe us, in a business where people are your most prized asset - this is something our clients really value!

Craig’s two passions in life are Manchester United and travel. He’s walked the Great Wall of China, stood next to the Terracotta Warriors, marveled at the Pyramids, got soaked at Niagara Falls and got p….d at the South Australian Wineries! Move over Michael Palin, our Craig’s on your heels!

Victoria
Demonstration Coordinator

Victoria’s career path can best be described as ‘varied’. Before joining Fizz, Victoria spent 5 years in the marketing department of a large accountancy firm. She also has a degree in Zoology and used to be an art technician in a secondary school. What do they say about working with children and animals...?

Working closely with Mark on our biggest account, Victoria brings a unique mix of calm, creativity and organisational skills to her role - ensuring maximum return from over 3,500 in-store demonstrations every month! Recent meetings have also shown that she’s ever so slightly bonkers… but we like our staff that way!

When she’s not spending time with her hubbie and 2 very spoilt cats, Victoria’s spare time is taken up with leading the Brownies and Guides. She says it can be hard work, but worth it to see the beaming expressions on the little ones' faces - a bit like the day job then!

Darren
Managing Director

“The art of leadership is delegation and it’s important to have a team of people who are much better than you.”
If this is true then he’s doing pretty well. Skilled at delegating, he's surrounded by awesome talent throughout the company (his words - not ours).

Darren joined the world of field marketing with dreams of saving enough money to go to an American Soccer Camp. The problem was, he got hooked, and changed his plans (he’s rubbish at soccer anyway - even worse at football!) Ten years on - he’s still addicted to the marketing industry. When asked about his passion and his inspiration he replied, “When you work with cool people - cool things happen everyday.”

Darren is the king of contradiction, “I’m a foodaholic who’s always on a diet!” “I love football but I support England.” Thankfully, at work he’s focused, articulate and surprisingly intelligent! (our words - not his).

Laura
Field Services Assistant

With a degree in Geography and Social Science, Laura has held some varied roles in her time before joining Fizz. Able to turn her hand to anything, she’s one of those gals who just rolls up her sleeves and gets things done!

Her hectic role at Fizz includes “anything and everything” to support our teams out in the field. Working closely with our Area Managers and Account Managers, Laura ensures that everything runs efficiently, competently and accurately. She knows where everyone is (thanks to her Geography degree) and she knows precisely when to point and shout at people (thanks to her Social Science degree). We understand that she’s now working towards a degree in “I’m sorry I didn’t mean it!”

Outside of Fizz, Laura loves spending time with her son Cameron, going to the cinema, playing in the park (we assume with Cameron!) and days out.

Becky
Campaign and Event Support

Sporting a degree in Events Management and more than 12 months hands-on experience in the industry, Becky is a vital member of the Fizz team; ensuring our grand plans turn into a brilliant reality. It’s this experience, coupled with years of working in customer service that makes Becky the perfect person for her role at Fizz.

Whether she’s coordinating our internal resources, liaising with our numerous supply partners or building strong relationships with our clients, it’s Becky’s job to help ensure a concept becomes a creation. Highly organised and always up for a challenge, Becky is unusually enthusiastic about schedules…!?

Away from Fizz, Becky enjoys festivals (and has worked at a few), travelling and trying all kinds of new experiences. Good to have you on board Becky.

Matt
Area Manager (West)

A graduate of the University of Sunderland in Philosophy, Politics and English, Matt can now think very deep, grammatically correct thoughts about why he really doesn’t like politicians. Together with an early career working as a barman and manager, Matt is well versed in the people skills that are core to his role here at Fizz!

As area manager, Matt is responsible for delivering first class field marketing across 7 locations. Matt says he loves the challenge and is yet to experience a boring day (but has one scheduled for 2015).

When not at work, Matt enjoys spending time with the inmates (sorry, kids!) of which he and his beautiful wife Claire have three. Matt’s been told that he likes decorating, cleaning, gardening and shopping, but he’s not so sure. Will watch any and all sport, preferably “The Mighty Sunderland AFC.” Please send all hate mail to St. James’ Park.

A graduate of the University of Sunderland in Philosophy, Politics and English, Matt can now think very deep, grammatically correct thoughts about why he really doesn’t like politicians. Together with an early career working as a barman and manager, Matt is well versed in the people skills that are core to his role here at Fizz!

As area manager, Matt is responsible for delivering first class field marketing across 7 locations. Matt says he loves the challenge and is yet to experience a boring day (but has one scheduled for 2015).

When not at work, Matt enjoys spending time with the inmates (sorry, kids!) of which he and his beautiful wife Claire have three. Matt’s been told that he likes decorating, cleaning, gardening and shopping, but he’s not so sure. Will watch any and all sport, preferably “The Mighty Sunderland AFC.” Please send all hate mail to St. James’ Park.
